Lincoln Park: a great asset

Published: Friday, May 16, 2008 8:34 AM EDT BEAVER COUNTY TIMES

After attending the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center performance of "Leader of the Pack" on Saturday in Midland, I felt compelled to get the word out.

Over the years, I have attended the CLO, Broadway Series and Pittsburgh Musical Theater in Pittsburgh. The performances of these high school students literally blew me away. The quality of performance, costumes, set, etc., matched anything I have seen in Pittsburgh.

The talent and stage presence of these young people was phenomenal, and being in the fourth row center I was able to truly critique their performance.

My husband and I had recently been to Henry Mancini Night and the play "To Kill a Mockingbird" and thoroughly enjoyed both. With the price of gas today, it is a lot closer to drive to Midland, ticket prices are reasonable, parking is free, and there is a coffee bar and comfortable seating in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility.

Need I say more? I feel The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center is an asset to Beaver County, something we can be proud of and should support.

Lincoln Park: Incredible

Published: Thursday, May 15, 2008 8:31 AM EDT BEAVER COUNTY TIMES

As a parent of a student who will enter the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School next year, what a joy I received at the performance of "To Kill a Mockingbird."

With so much sickness and death all around, how wonderful it is to have the visual arts alive in Midland. I thank God very much for Dr. Nick Trombetta and his wonderful dream.
